Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team in providing exceptional care to our residents. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a care home or senior care setting and the confidence to lead and supervise others.
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents’ well-being by assisting with daily activities, implementing care plans, and fostering a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in daily activities while promoting dignity and independence.
- Contribute to and implement individual care plans alongside healthcare professionals.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and leadership.
- Maintain accurate records of care, progress, and daily activities.
- Build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Participate in ongoing training to further develop care skills.
- Transport residents to appointments or activities, where required.
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in a care home or senior care environment.
- Supervisory or team-leading experience.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to develop and implement care plans tailored to individual needs.
- IT proficiency for maintaining records and reports.
- A valid driving licence is desirable for transporting residents.
