SEMH Teaching Assistant – Immediate Start UES1

We are currently recruiting for enthusiastic and resilient Teaching Assistants to support pupils within a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) provision in Dorking.
This is an exciting opportunity to work with boys aged 9–16 years, supporting students across Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 who require additional emotional, behavioural and learning support.
The role is available for an immediate start and will continue until the end of the academic year, with the possibility of extending into the next academic year for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEMH needs
- Supporting students both inside and outside the classroom
- Promoting positive behaviour and engagement with learning
- Building strong, professional relationships with pupils and staff
- Helping to create a safe, supportive and structured learning environment
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people, ideally within SEMH, SEND, behaviour support, youth work, care, coaching or similar settings
- Ability to remain calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Enhanced Child and Adult DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
- Available to work full-time until the end of the academic year
