Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Lifeguard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety of all patrons in and around the swimming area. This role requires a strong commitment to compliance management, effective communication skills, and the ability to respond swiftly in emergency situations. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for all visitors.
Duties
- Monitor pool activities to ensure the safety of all swimmers and prevent accidents.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, providing first aid as necessary.
- Conduct regular inspections of the pool area and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Communicate effectively with patrons regarding safety practices and pool guidelines.
- Participate in regular training sessions to maintain certification and improve lifesaving skills.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the pool area.
Requirements
- Current lifeguard certification from a recognised organisation.
- Proficiency in first aid and CPR techniques.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively.
- Experience in compliance management is advantageous.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and make quick decisions in emergency situations.
- Must be physically fit, capable of swimming long distances, and performing rescues when necessary.
- A commitment to providing excellent customer service while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
