Job Overview

Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
- Oversee food presentation, quality control, and portion sizes to meet customer expectations
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and ensure proper storage of ingredients
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Train new team members and provide ongoing coaching to develop skills
- Collaborate with management on menu development and special event planning
- Ensure the kitchen operates smoothly during service hours, including busy periods
- Assist in serving customers when required, ensuring excellent hospitality
Requirements
- Proven experience in a culinary role, ideally within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead and motivate a team effectively
- Strong knowledge of food production, preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation skills
- Solid understanding of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Leadership qualities with a focus on teamwork and staff development
- Experience in food service management, including inventory control and scheduling
- Exceptional communication skills and a professional attitude towards customer service
- Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable; hospitality background is advantageous
