Overview
We are seeking a skilled Panel Wirer to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling and wiring electrical panels, ensuring all components are correctly installed and functioning according to specifications. Responsibilities
- Assembling electrical panels using hand tools and power tools, following technical diagrams and schematics
- Wiring control panels in accordance with electrical standards and safety regulations
- Installing programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other automation components
- Applying surface mount technology (SMT) where required during assembly processes
- Conducting testing of assembled panels to verify proper operation and troubleshooting any issues
- Maintaining accurate documentation of work performed and components used
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised assembly equipment
- Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems
- Knowledge of surface mount technology (SMT) assembly techniques
- Strong electrical experience, including wiring, circuit diagrams, and component installation
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to panel assembly and component fitting
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail and safety procedures
