Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our vibrant childcare team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children, supporting their early development and learning. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about working with children and committed to fostering their growth through engaging activities and personalised care. Previous nursery experience and early childhood education knowledge are highly desirable, along with strong management and leadership skills. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation needs when required.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver age-appropriate activities that promote children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development
- Supervise children during playtime, mealtimes, and organised activities ensuring their safety at all times
- Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Support children's individual needs through personalised care plans and attentive supervision
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication
- Lead by example in promoting good behaviour and social skills among children
- Assist in the organisation of daily routines, including nap times and outdoor activities
- Contribute to the ongoing assessment of children's progress and development records
- Collaborate with team members to ensure the nursery runs smoothly and efficiently
Qualifications
- Proven experience working within a nursery or early childhood education setting
- Strong management and leadership abilities to oversee daily operations effectively
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Genuine passion for working with children and supporting their developmental milestones
- Knowledge of childcare regulations, health & safety standards, and safeguarding procedures
- Ability to work well within a team whilst also demonstrating initiative independently
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for transportation duties when necessary

Pay: £28,420.00-£30,340.78 per year
