An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Site Manager, Facilities Manager or Estates Manager to join a well-established secondary school during an exciting period of investment and improvement.
Over the coming months, the school will be delivering several refurbishment and estate improvement projects, and we're looking for someone to coordinate activities on site, oversee contractors and help ensure projects are delivered safely and with minimal disruption to staff and students.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys managing contractors, organising site activities and taking ownership of the day-to-day running of a busy site.
The Role
Working closely with the senior leadership team, you'll act as the school's main point of contact for contractors whilst supporting the ongoing management of the school estate.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating contractors working across the site
- Monitoring health & safety and ensuring safe working practices
- Supporting refurbishment and improvement projects
- Liaising with contractors, consultants and school staff
- Managing contractor access and site logistics
- Carrying out regular site inspections
- Reporting progress and resolving day-to-day issues
- Supporting the wider facilities and estates function as required
About You
We're keen to hear from candidates with experience in:
- Site Management
- Facilities Management
- Estates Management
- Building Maintenance
- Property Management
- School Caretaking or Premises Management
- Facilities Coordination
You'll be organised, practical and confident dealing with contractors, with a good understanding of health & safety and experience working within a commercial, education or public-sector environment.
Ideally You'll Have
- Experience managing contractors on site
- Knowledge of building maintenance and facilities management
- Good organisational and communication skills
- A proactive approach to problem solving
- Full UK Driving Licence
Experience within a school environment would be beneficial but is by no means essential.
