We are looking to recruit enthusiastic and dedicated Bank SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team on a flexible, as-needed basis. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with a range of additional needs while gaining valuable experience in a supportive educational environment.
About the Role
As a Bank SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils, teachers, and the SENCO to provide tailored support that enables every child to thrive both academically and socially.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs in the classroom and around the school
- Adapting learning activities to meet individual needs and abilities
- Working collaboratively with class teachers
- Encouraging confidence, independence, and positive social interaction
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
- Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
Available Shifts
This is a flexible bank position providing cover for staff absences across our schools.
- Shifts are available Monday to Friday
- Working hours are 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Assignments may be offered the evening before or on the morning of the shift, depending on school requirements
- You can choose to accept shifts that fit your availability
What We're Looking For
We welcome applications from individuals who:
- Have experience supporting children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, or other additional needs (desirable)
- Are calm, patient, compassionate, and resilient
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Are passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing
- Hold a relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3 or equivalent (advantageous but not essential)
