Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Housekeeping supervisor to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our hotel premises. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a background in hospitality or janitorial services. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to ensure efficient service delivery
- Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to uphold organisational standards
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and safety compliance
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring proper stock levels are maintained
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to optimise workflow
- Address guest requests or complaints promptly and professionally
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless hotel operations
- Maintain accurate records of staff attendance, training, and performance evaluations
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping management or a similar supervisory role within the hospitality industry
- Prior janitorial experience is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
- Excellent leadership and communication skills to motivate team members
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Flexibility to work varied shifts as required by hotel operations
