Sauna Steward / Sauna Operative (Part-Time)
Popty Sona Mo – Bethesda, Gwynedd
We're looking for a reliable, friendly and self-motivated person to help operate our wood-fired community sauna and support the growth of the business.
The Role
You will be responsible for helping create a welcoming and enjoyable experience for guests while supporting the day-to-day running of the sauna.
Duties include:
- Welcoming guests and checking bookings
- Set up, Lighting and managing the wood-fired sauna
- Maintaining a safe, clean and relaxing environment
- Helping guests understand sauna etiquette and best practice
- Assisting with social media content and promotion (Instagram, TikTok and Facebook) Helping grow awareness of Popty Sona Mo within the local community and beyond.
Hours
Initially:
- Sundays, 9:00am – 3:00pm (6 hours)
Potential future opportunities:
- Saturdays and Sundays
- 1–2 days per week as the business grows
There will be an initial one-month trial period to ensure the role is a good fit for both parties.
Pay
- £80 per day (Conditional)
The aim of this role is not only to help operate the sauna but also to support business growth through excellent customer experience, community engagement and marketing activities.
The continuation of the role and future hours will be reviewed against agreed business objectives and revenue targets during the trial period.

- Customer service experience
- Interest in sauna culture, wellbeing and health

- Basic content creation skills (photos, videos, stories and reels)
- Ability to work independently and take initiative
About Popty Sona Mo
Popty Sona Mo is a wood-fired sauna experience based in Bethesda, Gwynedd, located at Llaethdy Gwyn, Cosyn Cymru (The Cheese Factory).
Our aim is to create a welcoming space for relaxation, wellbeing and community, while bringing authentic sauna culture to North Wales.
