Cover Supervisor – Wrexham

We are currently recruiting Cover Supervisors to work in secondary schools across Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, experienced teaching assistants, youth workers, sports coaches, or anyone with experience working with young people.
As a Cover Supervisor, you will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with the work provided and maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver pre-planned lessons and classroom activities.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Ensure students remain focused and complete set work.
- Support students with their learning where appropriate.
- Report back to teaching staff on lesson outcomes and pupil behaviour.
- Uphold safeguarding and school procedures at all times.
Requirements
- Experience working with children or young people is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence managing groups of students.
- Ability to remain calm, organised and professional.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working in different school settings.
