We're working with a second-generation, family-run precision engineering business just outside Wellingborough, supplying complex, high-tolerance components into aerospace, motorsport and other demanding sectors. With around 50 employees on-site, they've built a reputation for quality, investment and long-term staff retention.
This is an opportunity to join a modern machine shop equipped with high-spec 5-axis machinery, where you'll be involved in everything from programming and process development through to supporting new projects and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Create and optimise CNC milling programs using HyperMill (or similar CAD/CAM software)
- Set and operate up to 5-axis CNC machining centres, ensuring efficient and accurate production
- Troubleshoot machining and programming issues to maintain production performance
- Support quotations, new project introductions and customer requirements where required
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer within a precision engineering environment
- Strong CAD/CAM programming experience, ideally HyperMill, OneCNC or similar
- Good understanding of machining processes, tooling and cutting strategies
- Ability to work independently while also supporting wider manufacturing teams
