Field Service Technician
Hours: Monday – Friday 09:00 – 17:00 | Flexibility required for travel time
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Due to continued growth and expansion we are currently looking to recruit a Field Service Technician to join our business in Reading on a permanent basis.
Hours will be flexible to ensure work is completed WHILE realistic expectations of the candidate’s travelling is taken into account.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Attend customer properties to inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical faults on furniture products
- Carry out fault-finding on electrical and mechanical components
- Complete repairs, replacements, and testing of electrical goods and systems
- Provide clear and professional communication with customers during visits
- Accurately complete service reports and documentation
- Maintain company tools, stock, and vehicle
- Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety and company procedures
- Represent major national retail brands in a professional manner at all times
Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in a Field Service Technician role
- Strong electronic fault-finding and troubleshooting skills (LED Light, USB Charging, Audio system, Television Settings, TV lift system, Power Ottoman, Adjustable system)
- Experience working with electrical goods, appliances, or electromechanical products
- Comfortable working independently and following the company visit schedule
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Professional and trustworthy approach, as the role involves entering private residential properties
- Full UK driving licence essential
Desirable
- Electrical qualifications or relevant engineering background
- Experience working within furniture, white goods, or consumer products sectors
- Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical documentation
