Bert's Pizza is a busy, independent takeaway committed to serving high-quality food and excellent customer service. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Shop Manager to lead our team and oversee the day-to-day operation of the business.
The Role
This is a hands-on management position that requires someone who can lead from the front, motivate a team and ensure the smooth running of a fast-paced takeaway environment.
The successful candidate will have previous experience working in a pizza shop or takeaway environment and will be comfortable managing staff, stock and daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing and motivating a team of kitchen and front-of-house staff
- Preparing staff rotas and overseeing shift performance
- Ensuring excellent customer service standards are maintained
- Managing stock ordering, deliveries and stock control
- Cash handling, cashing up and daily financial procedures
- Maintaining food hygiene and health & safety standards
- Supporting staff training and development
- Monitoring operational performance and identifying areas for improvement
- Assisting during busy service periods when required
What We're Looking For
- Previous management or supervisory experience within a pizza shop, takeaway or fast-food environment
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Excellent organisational abilities
- Ability to perform under pressure in a busy environment
- Good understanding of food hygiene and health & safety procedures
- Reliable, professional and customer-focused attitude
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
