If you’re an Insurance Litigation Solicitor with 2–5 years’ PQE, this is a great opportunity to join a growing Belfast-based defence insurance team working on a varied caseload of personal injury and complex liability claims.

The role
As a Defence Insurance Associate in Belfast, you’ll handle a broad mix of personal injury litigation matters, acting primarily for insurers and self-insured organisations.
Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and assisting on motor, employer’s liability, public liability and disease claims

Running your own caseload while supporting senior lawyers on more complex disputes
-
Drafting pleadings, reports and detailed client advice
-
Investigating claims, including liaising with policyholders and taking witness statements
-
Reviewing and interpreting medical evidence and expert reports
-
Attending court hearings, case reviews and pre-trial meetings
-
Ensuring compliance with client SLAs, reporting standards and reserving requirements

Maintaining accurate file management and correspondence
-
Building trusted relationships with clients and key stakeholders
-
Supporting business development and wider team initiatives
About you
This role would suit an Insurance Litigation/Personal Injury Solicitor who:

Has 2–5 years’ PQE (guideline level, flexibility for the right candidate)

Brings experience in personal injury litigation (defence experience beneficial but not essential)

Is comfortable managing files within a fast-paced environment

Demonstrates strong drafting and analytical skills
-
Has an interest in advocacy and court work
-
Understands client service delivery, including SLAs and reporting standards

Takes a proactive, solutions-focused approach

Communicates effectively with clients and colleagues

Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and driven team
