Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Heating Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining heating systems in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, plumbing, and the use of various hand and power tools. The successful applicant will work closely with clients and team members to ensure efficient and high-quality service delivery. The range of the candidate's abilities will determine the salary we offer, for example someone with knowledge of oil/gas/lpg and renewables will be highly sort after.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain heating systems including boilers, radiators, and related components.
- Use welding techniques to assemble or repair metal parts of heating systems.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment safely and effectively.
- Perform plumbing tasks related to heating system connections and pipework.
- Conduct basic measurements and calculations using mathematical skills to ensure proper fitting and alignment.
- Assist with carpentry tasks as needed for mounting or structural support.
- Handle heavy lifting of equipment or materials safely in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assist in system assembly, testing, and commissioning to ensure operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in heating system installation or related mechanical trades is preferred.
- Knowledge of welding techniques, plumbing, carpentry, and the use of hand tools and power tools is essential.
- Familiarity with mechanical systems, basic mathematics for measurements, and assembly processes is highly desirable.
- Experience working with commercial heating systems or in industrial environments is advantageous.
- Valid driving licence for commercial driving duties is a plus but not mandatory. This role requires physical strength for heavy lifting tasks, attention to detail during installation processes, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship, safety standards, and customer satisfaction.
Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
