Role: National Account Executive
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Location: Lacock, Wiltshire(Site-based)
Working Hours: Monday – Friday
As a National Account Executive, you will play a key role in driving the growth and performance of our major retail accounts. You’ll strengthen customer relationships, support the delivery of commercial objectives, and ensure promotional plans are executed flawlessly. Acting as the crucial link between internal teams and key retailers, you will use data‑driven insights to spot opportunities, support strategic decision‑making, and maximise account profitability. Stonegate Farmers Ltd is an integrated free range and organic egg business organised across three divisions comprising farming and agriculture, egg packing and cooked egg processing. Established in 1926 and under new ownership since 2016, we have grown into one the largest free-range and organic egg producers within the UK.
We deliver daily from hen houses right across the country to the most exclusive restaurants and to many of the UK’s leading supermarkets, together with first class egg products to some of the biggest names in food manufacturing.
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the day‑to‑day management of key retail accounts, ensuring smooth and reliable operational delivery.
- Take ownership of assigned account(s) with guidance from the wider commercial team.
- Act as the main point of contact for customer queries, including supply chain and operational requests.
- Build strong relationships with buyers, supply chain teams and key retail stakeholders to drive collaboration.
- Develop a deep understanding of each account’s needs, providing tailored solutions and support.
- Analyse sales and customer performance data to spot growth opportunities and improve efficiency.
- Track account performance against targets, offering insights and recommendations to boost results.
- Work closely with supply chain, marketing and category teams to meet customer expectations and deliver business objectives.
- Identify ways to increase sales and expand product presence within existing accounts.
- Support the development and execution of strategies to drive profitability and long‑term account growth.
- Participate in customer meetings, contributing insights to negotiations and account plans.
What we’re looking for:
- Degree‑educated or equivalent, ideally in Business, Marketing or a related field.

- Proven experience in sales, account executive roles, account management, demand planning or buying, ideally within FMCG or grocery retail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong, collaborative relationships.
- Highly organised and resilient, able to work effectively under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
- A strong analytical mindset, confident in turning data and insights into meaningful, actionable opportunities.
- Self‑motivated and proactive, with the drive to deliver results both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, with particularly strong Excel skills.
