Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager to oversee daily operations within our hospitality or food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary and restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional service. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food production and service. The successful applicant will play a key role in fostering a positive team environment and ensuring smooth operational flow.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise team members, including chefs, servers, and kitchen staff, to ensure efficient service delivery
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards and health regulations
- Manage daily operational activities within the restaurant or hospitality setting
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards across all departments
- Coordinate with suppliers for inventory management and stock control
- Implement training programmes to develop staff skills and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction
- Monitor customer feedback and resolve any issues promptly to uphold the establishment’s reputation
- Assist in menu planning and development in collaboration with culinary staff
- Maintain organised records of operations, staff schedules, and health & safety documentation
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety practices
- Extensive restaurant experience with knowledge of food production processes
- Demonstrated team management and leadership capabilities
- Familiarity with kitchen operations, including food safety regulations and quality control
- Experience in serving or hospitality roles is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Good communication skills to lead teams effectively and liaise with clients or guests as needed
- Previous experience in hotel or barista roles is advantageous but not essential
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week
