We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Citizenship, Religious Education (RE) & History Teacher to join our dedicated team. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Citizenship, Religious Education, and History.
- Create a positive, engaging, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Encourage discussion, debate, and independent thinking while promoting respect for others.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress effectively.
- Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners.
- Prepare students for internal assessments and GCSE examinations where applicable.
- Provide constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning.
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- Uphold the Islamic ethos and values of the school.
Skills
Please note: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a PGCE is not required for this role. We value relevant experience, subject expertise, and the ability to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons.
- Strong subject knowledge across Citizenship, RE, and History.
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience (school, college, tuition centre, or similar).
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- The ability to inspire curiosity, discussion, and a love of learning.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
- A willingness to contribute positively to the wider school community.
