The Internal Key Account Manager is responsible for managing, developing and growing a portfolio of B2B distributor accounts.
The role focuses on building strong customer relationships, identifying opportunities to increase account value, delivering excellent customer service and driving sustainable sales growth through proactive account management.
Working closely with customers, internal departments and product specialists, the Internal Key Account Manager will develop a detailed understanding of customer requirements and recommend appropriate PPE solutions to support growth and long-term customer retention.
This is a proactive sales role requiring regular customer engagement, commercial awareness and a commitment to achieving individual and team sales objectives.
- Manage and develop a portfolio of distributor accounts.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customer contacts.
- Conduct regular account reviews to identify growth opportunities.

- Identify opportunities to increase sales across the full PPE product range.

- Generate quotations and follow up opportunities to maximise conversion rates.
- Support customer tenders and commercial proposals where required.
- Work towards agreed sales, margin and activity targets.
- Respond promptly to customer enquiries via telephone and email.
- Resolve customer issues professionally and efficiently.
- Liaise with internal departments including customer service, operations, purchasing and product management to deliver effective solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and opportunities.
- Utilise CRM and ERP systems to manage customer information and sales activity.
- Maintain accurate customer records and opportunity pipelines.
- Produce reports and forecasts as required.
- Use available business intelligence tools and sales reports to identify opportunities and monitor performance.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company's PPE portfolio.
- Stay informed of product developments, market trends and industry requirements.
- Confidently discuss product features, benefits and applications with customers.
- Recommend suitable products based on customer needs and working environments.
