The Role
We're looking for enthusiastic and reliable Pasty Crimpers to join our production team in Bodmin.
Working as part of a friendly team, you'll help produce our award-winning pasties by preparing ingredients, making pastry, crimping pasties and assisting with baking. You'll play an important role in maintaining the high standards of quality that Malcolm Barnecutt Bakery is known for.
No previous crimping experience is required. Previous food preparation or bakery experience is beneficial, but full training can be provided for the right candidate.
Your Responsibilities
- Crimp and prepare handmade pasties.
- Assist with vegetable preparation and pastry making.
- Support the baking process.
- Maintain excellent food hygiene and quality standards.
- Keep production areas clean and organised.
- Safely operate bakery equipment, including mixers and industrial ovens.
- Work efficiently as part of a busy production team.
What We're Looking For
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
- Good communication skills with a good level of spoken English.
- Able to work early morning shifts (starting at approximately 3:30am).
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Able to work in a fast-paced production environment.
- Previous food preparation or bakery experience is desirable but not essential.
