We are a fast-growing precious metals business based in Hatton Garden, focused on high-volume gold buying and trading within the industry.
We are looking for an experienced Gold Buyer who understands the trade and is confident operating in a fast-paced, high-value environment.
The Role
This is not an entry-level position.
We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running, confidently buy gold, assess value accurately, and build relationships within the trade.
You will be working in a business where volume and speed matter, so experience and confidence are key.
Key Responsibilities
- Buying scrap gold from both retail customers and trade clients
- Testing and accurately valuing gold (acid, XRF, weighing, etc.)
- Negotiating and closing purchases confidently
- Managing and building relationships within the jewellery trade
- Handling high-value transactions and cash responsibly
- Maintaining accurate records and working efficiently
Requirements
- Proven experience in gold buying, jewellery, pawnbroking or precious metals
- Strong understanding of gold purity, pricing and valuation
- Confident working with high volumes and fast turnaround
- Highly trustworthy and reliable (non-negotiable)
- Strong attention to detail and good numeracy
- Professional, organised and able to work under pressure
- Computer literate
