Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Senior Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. We are a well established pub set in the heart of Surrey with a 3 AA rosette rating held since 2021.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts, with a commitment to delivering high-quality dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. As Senior Sous Chef you will play a vital role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes according to 3AA Rosette standards
- Assist Executive Chef with smooth running of the kitchen
- Ensure all food is prepared in a timely manner to meet service requirements.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen workspace, including equipment and utensils.
- Leading the kitchen team to deliver consistent, high quality service levels
- Assist in the training and supervision of kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Assist the Executive Chef with GP tracking, stock control & supplier relationship management.
- Collaborate with the head chef and kitchen team to develop new menu items and improve existing offerings.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in team management and training.
- A passion for culinary arts and a desire to contribute positively to the kitchen environment.
- Experience in a 2 or 3 Rosette kitchen environment.
Salary Range
- £39,000-£44,000 dependant on experience.
