Job Role:
The Closed Sites Manager is responsible for operational management of Valencia’s closed landfill sites
The role holder will be responsible for ensuring that Valencia’s closed landfill sites operate in line with legal requirements, operational standards, and Company policies and procedures.
The role holder will provide line management to a team of people who will undertake monitoring, maintenance, inspection and supervision of contractors. The role holder is expected to liaise with a range of external stakeholders including regulators, landowners, tenants, local authorities, and others.
The role holder will also be expected to work closely with colleagues across the business. Operational management of Valencia’s closed landfill sites in accordance with legal requirements, operational standards and Company policies and procedures.
Accountabilities:
- Provide line management and leadership to a team of people who will undertake monitoring, maintenance, inspection and repair works across the closed sites.
- Schedule, organise and oversee work of team members and contractors.
- Investigate and resolve non-compliances and operational problems, where necessary seeking the appropriate technical assistance, and inputting to responses to regulators and other external organisations.
- Manage costs and routinely investigate opportunities to realise best value for money.
- Undertake regular inspections and checks to ensure that closed sites are operating in line with legal requirements, operational standards and Company policies and procedures. Ensure that records of these inspections and checks are kept up to date.
Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
