HGV Mechanic – Uttoxeter

Salary: Up to £50,000 per year (depending on experience) + overtime opportunities
About the Role
We are currently looking for a skilled and dependable HGV Mechanic to join our team in Uttoxeter. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established company, maintaining and repairing a modern fleet of heavy goods vehicles in a busy, professional workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic tools and hands-on inspection
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with DVSA standards
- Prepare vehicles for MOT inspections and carry out pre-MOT checks
- Complete job cards, service sheets, and maintenance records accurately
- Work efficiently to minimise vehicle downtime
Requirements
- Proven experience working as an HGV Mechanic/Technician
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent)
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of health & safety regulations
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence (Class 1 or 2 licence desirable but not essential)
