We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable A-Level Biology Tutor specialising in OCR A syllabus to support students in achieving their academic goals. Duties
- Deliver customised tutoring sessions in A-Level Biology (OCR A), tailored to individual student needs and learning styles
- Develop and implement effective lesson plans that cover key biological topics, including cell biology, genetics, ecology, and physiology
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching methods accordingly to maximise understanding and exam performance
- Provide clear explanations of complex biological concepts using accessible language and visual aids
- Support students with exam preparation strategies, including practice questions and time management techniques
- Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, confidence, and independent thinking
- Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress reports, and areas requiring further attention
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, or guardians regarding progress and areas for improvement
Experience
- Achieved A/A* in A-Level Biology (OCR A)
- Strong understanding of the OCR A syllabus and examination requirements
- Experience working with children or young adults in an educational setting is desirable BUT NOT NECESSARY
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly and patiently
- Organised with the ability to tailor lessons to diverse learning styles and abilities
