Role: Behaviour / ALN teacher - Newport
Contract: Full Time, Temp contract with opportunity to go Permanent
Pay: Minimum 172.98 - MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)

We are currently seeking to appoint a dedicated and compassionate ALN (Additional Learning Needs) / Behaviour Teacher to join our inclusive and nurturing school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled educator with a strong understanding of ALN and behaviour support to help pupils overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Plan and deliver high-quality, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of pupils with ALN and behavioural needs
- Develop and implement effective behaviour support strategies
- Work closely with the ALNCo/SENCo, support staff, and external agencies to ensure appropriate support and intervention
- Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour plans, and interventions
- Foster a safe, respectful, and stimulating learning environment
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families, and staff to support whole-child development
You’ll need:
- Has experience working with children with ALN and/or SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs
- Demonstrates strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Is resilient, reflective, and committed to inclusive education
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Understands the importance of safeguarding and student wellbeing
