Winners of Perthshire’s Best Café 2024 & 2025, Jessie’s is a vibrant, community-focused café serving a popular all-day breakfast and brunch menu alongside a small selection of lunch dishes.
We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, flavourful food in a welcoming and relaxed environment using fresh ingredients and seasonal produce. We are currently looking for an ambitious and passionate Chef to join our growing kitchen team.
The Role
As a Chef at Jessie’s, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of our kitchen, helping maintain the high standards our customers know and love.
From perfectly cooked breakfasts and freshly flipped pancakes to creative brunch specials, you’ll help ensure every dish leaves our customers smiling.
This is an excellent opportunity for a chef of any level looking to develop within a busy, creative café environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the kitchen team with daily kitchen operations
- Prepare, cook, and present breakfast and brunch dishes to a high standard
- Maintain consistency, quality, and presentation across all menu items
- Assist with menu development, seasonal specials, and new brunch ideas
- Help manage stock control, deliveries, and stock rotation
- Maintain excellent hygiene and food safety standards
- Work closely with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service
- Assist with Kitchen Porter duties when required
Skills & Experience
- Previous experience working as a Chef essential
- Breakfast and brunch experience desirable but not essential
- Passion for fresh, high-quality food and presentation
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards (HACCP/COSHH)
- Flexibility to work weekends and busy periods

- Competitive rate of pay dependent on experience. (Min £16/hr)
