The role of Assistant Cook, is to support the cook in the daily running of the kitchen, preparing and cooking meals to order, ordering and rotating stock and ensuring all food is stored, labelled, handled, cooked and served correctly, whilst at the same time ensuring the kitchen is a safe and clean environment.
Hours are generally between 9.30 am to 6 pm daily, average 30 hours a week, working a shift pattern of 4 working days, followed by 4 days off. Additional hours will always be available to cover holidays, sickness etc.
