Chester City Baths is a welcoming, community-focused leisure facility. We pride ourselves on providing high‑quality swimming lessons in a friendly and supportive environment. We are currently looking for Level 2 Qualified Swimming Teachers to join our small, dedicated aquatics team.

Role Overview:
As a Swimming Teacher, you will be responsible for the safe, engaging and progressive delivery of swimming lessons to children and adults of varying abilities. You will play a key role in developing swimmers’ confidence, competence and water safety awareness while maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high‑quality swimming lessons in line with the agreed programme and individual needs of participants
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all swimmers at all times
- Promote water safety, confidence and enjoyment in the water
- Adapt teaching methods to suit different ages and abilities
- Monitor and assess swimmers’ progress, providing appropriate feedback
- Set up, check and safely use equipment before and during sessions
- Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents and colleagues
- Maintain a professional, friendly and inclusive atmosphere
Essential Requirements:
- Level 2 Swimming Teacher qualification
- Current DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to safeguarding and health & safety
- Passion for teaching swimming and supporting learner development
Desirable:
- Previous experience teaching swimming to children and/or adults
- NRASTC/NPLQ Qualification
