Holden Farm is looking for an enthusiastic and hardworking Café and Camping Assistant to join our team for the 2026 season. This role combines providing excellent customer service in our outdoor café with the smooth running of our campsite.
The café is located on a working farm on the South Downs Way, our main clientele are walkers, cyclists, campers and all those on an outdoor adventure. Our mission is to create a welcoming experience with delicious local fare.

Key responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to all visitors, ensuring a warm and welcoming environment
- Serve hot food and drinks in the café including food preparation and operating a coffee machine
- Be able to work independently and part of a team
- Opening and closing responsibilities
- Taking cash and card payments
- Assist with stock management, including restocking and taking in deliveries
- Maintaining the cleanliness and upkeep of the camping facilities, such as restrooms and outdoor spaces
- Camping field maintenance i.e. litter picks and emptying firepits
- Handle guest check-ins to the campsite providing key information and knowledge of the local area
- Confident, friendly, and outgoing character
- This is a varied and interesting role which would suit a trustworthy, enthusiastic, flexible and reliable person who possesses excellent customer service and communication skills, a can-do attitude and a sense of humour!
Requirements:
- Previous experience in hospitality is preferred but not essential
- Organised, reliable and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety
- Own transport is essential, no public transport nearby
- Weekend working hours required
- You'll also need to be energetic & physically active
