Job Title: Site Operative / Steel Erector’s Mate
****Candidates must live in the Maidstone area to enable pick ups to travel to sites around the UK. This is a temporary to permanent role.****
A hands-on, site-based role supporting specialist construction and refurbishment projects across the UK. You’ll work as part of a small, experienced team carrying out structural installations, steelwork assembly, and general site operations for a well‑established contractor. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, travelling, and being part of a close-knit crew delivering high‑quality projects.
Essential Requirements
- CSCS card
- Full CLEAN UK driving licence
- Candidates must live in Maidstone (with a ME postcode) to allow for efficient pick-up and travel to multiple sites around the UK. This is ESSENTIAL for the driver's route and the operational requirements of the job.
- Ability to work away from home Monday–Friday (occasionally travelling Sunday afternoon)
- Previous Steel Erecting/site labouring experience
- Physically fit, reliable, and comfortable working outdoors in all weather
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
Pay & Benefits
- Up to £17.50 per hour (up to 48 hours per week)
- £26.25 per hour (after 48 hours)
- £30 per night expenses

Desirable Qualifications (Not Essential)
- IPAF
- PASMA
- SPA (UKPIA)
- Slinger or Banksman training
Working Pattern
- 8–12 hour shifts depending on project requirements
- Nationwide travel with overnight stays
