HGV Class 1 Driver
Our client, a well-established logistics operation based in Newcastle, is currently seeking experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers to support their busy depot with collections and deliveries. This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling, so applicants must be comfortable with physical work.
Location: Peterborough PE7
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- 9:00am – 5:45pm
Start Date: Immediate
Pay Rate:
Standard - £16.36
Overtime - £24.54 (Paid after 40 hours)
The Role:
- Completing scheduled collections and deliveries in a timely manner
- Loading and unloading goods where required
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Completing all relevant paperwork and adhering to transport regulations
- Representing the client in a professional manner at all times
Requirements:
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- Previous experience in a similar role preferred
- Strong understanding of driver hours and regulations
- Reliable, professional, and flexible approach to work
