Job Summary:
This is a hands-on Mechanical Maintenance role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, supporting production through both proactive and reactive maintenance activities.
The primary focus of the role is ensuring the reliability, performance, and continuous improvement of mechanical equipment. While the position also involves some basic electrical fault finding, the emphasis remains on mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimising production machinery.
Working Hours: Night Shift: Mon-Thu 10:00 PM - 8:00 AM

Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Carry out mechanical maintenance and repairs on production machinery, including conveyors, pumps, bearings, chains, belts, and rotary equipment
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical faults and equipment failures in a timely manner
- Undertake planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to enhance equipment reliability and minimise downtime
- Work with pneumatic systems, including valves, cylinders, and airline components
- Perform full equipment strip-downs, rebuilds, and overhauls as required to maintain operational efficiency
Supporting Electrical Responsibilities:
- Carry out basic electrical fault finding on components such as motors, sensors, and drives
- Support the electrical maintenance team where required
- Work safely with control panels and control systems in line with site procedures and health & safety standards
Personal Specifications:
- Time-served or Level 3 qualified in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with strong mechanical experience
- Proven background in mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment
- Confident in fault finding, equipment strip-downs, and mechanical rebuilds
- Able to work independently and effectively during night shifts
- Basic electrical knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
Pay: Up to £53,000.00 per year
