Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Bristol Vehicle Recovery Driver to join our team. This role involves operating recovery vehicles to assist with vehicle breakdowns and recoveries within the Bristol area. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, mechanical knowledge, and excellent communication abilities to ensure efficient and safe recovery operations. Duties
- Operate recovery vehicles, including flatbed lorries, to retrieve and transport vehicles in various conditions.
- Respond promptly to breakdown calls and coordinate recovery operations efficiently.
- Conduct basic mechanical assessments of vehicles during recovery and report any issues.
- Ensure all recoveries are completed safely, adhering to industry regulations and company policies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of recoveries and vehicle details.
- Communicate effectively with clients, dispatch teams, and colleagues throughout recovery processes.
- Conduct routine inspections of recovery vehicles to ensure they are in optimal working condition.
- Assist with warehouse duties as required, including loading and unloading vehicles or equipment.
Requirements
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly as a delivery driver or in vehicle recovery.
- Strong driving skills with experience operating flatbed lorries or similar recovery vehicles.
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to vehicle repairs and basic troubleshooting.
- Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members.
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently.
- Knowledge of Bristol’s roads and traffic regulations is preferred but not mandatory. This role requires a dedicated professional committed to safety, reliability, and excellent customer service in vehicle recovery operations across Bristol.
Pay: £12.21-£14.50 per hour
