Position Summary
Due to continued growth and development, WRC is recruiting for a qualified HGV Mechanic to join our growing team in support of our ongoing expansion. This is the perfect position for an individual with HGV experience looking for their next career change to a market-leading Recycling firm ahead of a major expansion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our growing fleet of vehicles at our Inchinnan depot.
Duties
- Maintenance and repair of WRC’s modern fleet of vehicles to ensure they are compliant with current health and safety regulations as well as DVLA standards.
- Regularly completing fault diagnosis on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
- Carrying out day-to-day repairs such as basic welding and servicing
- Willingness to assist with the regular maintenance and servicing of WRC’s recycling plant
- Ensure all repairs and servicing are carried out to MOT standards
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of HGV vehicles and products
- Regular fault diagnosis and rectification
Requirements of the role
- The successful candidate must hold a full UK driving license.
- Class 1 HGV license would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided
- Experience working with HGV vehicles and associated systems such as hydraulics, electrics and brakes
- Competent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Physically fit with the ability to perform physically demanding tasks
- Ability to work alongside a team of qualified mechanics
- Candidates must be self-motivated with strict attention to detail.
