Job Summary
We are seeking friendly, professional and reliable Food & Beverage Assistants to join our team.
The Hamworthy Club is a busy sports, leisure and hospitality venue offering a bar, restaurant, weddings, private functions, corporate events, sporting events and live entertainment throughout the year.
This role is much more than simply serving behind a bar. We are looking for team members who can deliver excellent customer service whilst supporting all aspects of our food and beverage operation.
No two shifts are the same. One day you may be serving customers at the bar, the next assisting with food service, setting up a function room, supporting a wedding or helping deliver a corporate event.
Duties
- Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally.
- Take customer orders and process cash and card payments accurately.
- Deliver excellent customer service at all times.
- Assist with food service and table clearing when required.
- Set up and prepare function rooms and event spaces.
- Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the venue.
- Assist with weddings, private functions, sporting events and corporate bookings.
- Ensure compliance with licensing, food safety and health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with colleagues to ensure smooth service during busy periods.
- Support all areas of the food and beverage operation as required.
Skills & Experience
- Previous hospitality, bar, restaurant or customer service experience is preferred but not essential.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Friendly, professional and approachable manner.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure during busy service periods.
- Reliable, punctual and flexible approach to work.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
