Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant/Support Worker to join our team. The role involves providing high-quality care and support to individuals in care homes and in their own homes. Duties
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility
- Supporting clients with medication management in accordance with care plans
- Providing emotional support and companionship to clients
- Helping with meal preparation and ensuring nutritional needs are met
- Assisting with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Documenting care provided accurately using IT systems and following organisational procedures
- Communicating effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care
- Driving clients to appointments or activities when required (where applicable)
- Adhering to health and safety protocols, including infection control measures
Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for those new to the sector
- Valid driving licence is advantageous for supporting clients outside of care settings
- Good command of English, both written and spoken
- Basic IT skills for maintaining accurate records and updating care plans
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to support others’ wellbeing
- Ability to work flexibly, including shifts that may include evenings or weekends if required

Pay: £24,420.00-£34,772.76 per year
