We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team, providing vital assistance and care to a young lady with diverse needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in supporting people with disabilities, mental health conditions, demonstrating a commitment to enhancing quality of life through personalised support. As a Senior Support Worker, you will lead by example, ensuring the delivery of high-standard support services in Emerson Green and community-based activities. Your role will be instrumental in fostering independence, safety, and well-being for the young lady. We need a to have experience in this sector to apply.
Must enjoy animals and being out on a farm for some days, must drive essential, enjoy crafts and have a calm but capable approach.
Young lady vapes and it is essential you are ok with this.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct support to an 18 yar old lady
- Support with SMART goals and planning for the future
- Follow care plan and support to meet care plan outcomes
- Support with attending alternative educational provision
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure needs are appropriate and up to date.
Experience
- Previous experience in these sector is essential, this package can be complex & experience is essential
- Demonstrate experience
- Familiarity with mental health, ASD, ADHD, preferred
- Experience delivering person- centred support, aligned with legislation and good practice
- Knowledge of infection control practices including cleaning protocols and safe handling of medical equipment.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams while maintaining a compassionate approach.
