About Us
At Sompting Village Primary School, we are currently seeking to appoint an experienced School Business Manager (or an applicant who possesses the appropriate skill set for a School Business Manager role) to join and lead our friendly, caring and diligent school office team from September 2026.
We are looking for a School Business Manager who will understand the ethos of our school (an ethos where we expect everyone to “Be Their Best” and endorse Sompting’s A, B, C of Ambition, Bravery and Care). We are seeking a School Business Manager who will support this through their empathetic, communicative, yet driven leadership of the school office team alongside the organised, efficient and impactful application of their own role.
The applicant must be a dedicated, thoughtful, driven, hardworking individual who has a passion for and believes in the difference they can and will make to the children, staff and community of our school. They will need to be a patient, caring and positive individual in order to match our welcoming, inclusive, calm and friendly ethos.
The successful candidate will be provided with an environment in which they can continue to develop professionally, and where their voice is heard through an open, positive, respectful atmosphere, where strong relationships between staff, pupils and families are at the root of everything.
They will be working in a collegiate, ambitious, community-based atmosphere - and one in which a sense of humour is warmly welcomed! – through which everyone is striving to be their best and where staff want the very best for every child. The candidate will need – and be supported - to be appropriately independent yet a team-player, determined, reflective, adaptable and resilient.
