This is an ICT Level 3 Apprenticeship role - split 80/20 between employment with the employer, and learning & gaining qualifications with Solveway Apprenticeships!
The IT function plays a key role in maintaining secure, reliable and efficient systems for internal users and wider business operations. This apprenticeship role will sit within the IT team and contribute to day-to-day ICT support while developing the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for the Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the diagnosis and resolution of hardware, software and network issues
- Supporting the installation, configuration and maintenance of devices and systems
- Assisting with user account management and system access
- Supporting system monitoring, updates and routine maintenance
- Maintaining accurate records of support requests and technical activity
- Communicating with colleagues and stakeholders to provide effective IT support
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm, 36 hours per week

Qualifications
GCSE English and Maths A*-C/4-9 or level 2 equivalents.
Appropriate Driving Licence - must be comfortable driving and have access to your own car

Future prospects
After successfully completing the Level 3 Information Communications Technician apprenticeship, the apprentice will have developed practical IT support skills, technical knowledge and professional workplace behaviours to support progression within the organisation.
The apprentice may be considered for progression onto a higher apprenticeship, such as the Advanced IT Level 4 programme, subject to performance and business needs.
There may also be opportunities to progress into more senior IT roles within the organisation, supporting a long-term career within IT, digital infrastructure or technical services.
