Job Summary
We are excited to share that we are looking for a Team member to join our KOKORO restaurant in Liverpool!
We are a fast & casual restaurant providing a varied range of contemporary Asian-infused food, from fresh handmade sushi to hot food such as Chicken Katsu Curry, which has been extremely popular.
Responsibilities
1. Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare the menu items. Precisely follow recipes and work lists. Using excellent knife skills to prep for recipe
2. Sushi Preparation: Expertly prepare a variety of sushi dishes, including nigiri, sashimi, and rolls, ensuring precision in cutting and presentation.
3. Ingredient Management: Manage and maintain the freshness of all ingredients, including seafood, rice, vegetables, and condiments
4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with kitchen staff, ensuring effective communication and coordination to meet customer demand
5. Customer Interaction: Provide a positive and engaging experience for customers, including answering questions about the menu and accommodating special requests when possible.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, catering, or kitchen environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Basic cooking and meal preparation skills
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends if required
