About the Role
Are you a gas engineer looking to step off the tools and move into an office-based position — without losing the technical side of the job?
We’re hiring an experienced gas/heating professional to join our Operations Team in a 100% office-based role. You’ll use your on-site knowledge to make sure installations are correctly prepared before they go ahead: checking sold jobs for technical accuracy, ordering boilers/parts, managing stock, and supporting the office team with technical questions.
No on-call. No weekends. No site work. No site visits.
Working hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm
Work Location: In person (North Weald)
Key Responsibilities
- Check sold installation jobs before they go to site (spec, scope, parts, practicality)
- Order boilers, flues, controls and materials; raise and manage purchase orders
- Manage stock levels and ensure the right items are available for upcoming installs
- Liaise with merchants/suppliers on pricing, availability and lead times
- Coordinate deliveries so everything arrives on time for installers
- Provide technical support to office colleagues (fault finding guidance, parts identification, specification questions)
- Flag issues early to prevent delays, return visits and incorrect materials
- Keep accurate job notes and records across office systems
About You
- You’re an experienced gas engineer / heating engineer with strong domestic install knowledge
- You understand boilers, flues, controls, parts and what teams need on site
- You’re organised and methodical — you like getting things right first time
- You’re confident speaking to suppliers/merchants and chasing availability
- You’re comfortable using computers and office systems (training provided on our processes)
- You want a long-term role in a growing business with progression opportunities
