We are seeking a skilled Laser and Punch Operator to join the team.
As a Laser/Punch Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining laser cutting machines to fabricate and assemble sheet metal components.
The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in using hand tools, and experience in sheet metal fabrication.
Job Specification:
- Set up and operate both Trumpf or Bystronic laser cutting machines to cut, shape, and fabricate sheet metal components
- Read and interpret engineering drawings
- Setting and changing tools unsupervised
- Monitor machine operation to ensure quality and accuracy of cuts
- Perform routine maintenance on laser cutting machines
- Inspect finished products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Person Specification:
- Experience of running Trumpf or Bystronic fibre laser or CO2 laser machines are desirable
- Able to read engineering drawings
Hours of Operation
- Working 2 shifts rotating on a weekly basis (days and lates)
- Option to change to 3 shifts with consultation
