Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Nursery Manager to support the daily operations of our childcare facility. The ideal candidate will possess strong management and leadership skills, with a passion for working with children and fostering their development. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a nurturing environment that promotes early childhood education and wellbeing. The Deputy Nursery Manager will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure high standards of care, safety, and educational quality are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Nursery Manager in overseeing the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Support the planning and delivery of age-appropriate activities that promote children's development and learning.
- Supervise staff members, providing guidance, support, and leadership to maintain a motivated team environment.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all children by implementing robust safeguarding procedures.
- Foster positive relationships with parents and carers, providing regular updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Contribute to staff recruitment, training, and ongoing professional development initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records related to children's attendance, development, and health information.
- Support the implementation of nursery policies and procedures in line with early childhood education standards.
Skills
- Proven management and leadership experience within a childcare or nursery setting.
- Strong working knowledge of early childhood education principles and childcare regulations.
- Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to liaise effectively with children, parents, and team members.
- Experience working directly with children across various age groups.
- Organisational skills capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or attending external meetings as required.
- Passionate about child development, safety, and creating an inclusive learning environment.
Pay: £24,420.00-£30,000.00 per year
