Poms is looking for a hard working hands-on individual to join the team in our upcoming new Sutton Coldfield site, due to open August 2026. At Poms we pride ourselves on the high quality, locally sourced ingredients we use. This paired with high standards of service is at the heart of all that we do. Poms is an independently owned business, currently made up of three restaurants, with plans to continue to slowly expand over the coming years. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and ensuring the smooth flow of culinary activities. This position is ideal for individuals with a passion for the hospitality industry and a willingness to contribute to a dynamic culinary environment
Responsibilities:
- Assist with food preparation and service in the kitchen, Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness and organization. Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines . Assist in inventory management and restocking of kitchen supplies
- Prior experience not necessary but is advantageous
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with excellent communication skills

PLEASE NOTE:
This is a part time position. We are looking for someone with flexible availability, must be able to work weekends. Must also be available to work Bank Holidays, and other key dates throughout the year. (We are closed on Christmas Day!) We do not open on evenings, so no late nights. In addition to your pay, you will also receive a share of the service charge received each month. You may, from time to time, be asked to help at our other restaurant locations.
