Research Manager (Clinical Research)
This part-time (0.1 FTE) post is available immediately on a permanent basis.
Salary will be from £43,482 per annum pro rata on Grade F subject to knowledge, skills and experience.
This role offers the opportunity for hybrid working - some time on campus and some from home.
This role will be responsible for working across Exeter and relevant partners (including NHS Trusts) in the development of research and innovation applications, specifically in early engagement advice and in the development of costings for clinical research studies, including completion of SoECATs (Schedule of Events Cost Attribution Template) for projects being sponsored by UoE. The role will liaise with teams within Exeter and with NHS partners to support the lead researchers in the compliant completion of key documents for research applications. You will translate guidance relating to attribution of costs for research with NHS partners in support of Exeter academics developing clinical research applications. All Exeter-sponsored studies using NHS resources require a SoECAT. This requires specialist knowledge and experience to ensure costs are fully and appropriately recognised, working closely with NHS partners and Exeter research support to provide holistic research development support. As a result this post will work within the Exeter Research and Innovation Application & Funding Service (RIAFS), and in close alignment with Exeter’s sponsorship team.
About You
You will be educated to degree level or above, with extensive experience of working in both higher education and clinical environments supporting development of SoECATs and clinical research application development.
Please ensure you read the Job Description and Person Specification for full details of this role.
