Hours: Match Day hours – Weekend 11.00am – 5.30pm; Midweek 5.00pm – 10.30pm
Pay Rate: National Minimum Wage (NMW)
Who we are:
Blackpool Football Club is an English Professional Association Football Club based in the seaside town of Blackpool, Lancashire.
The Club was founded in 1887 and has a very storied history, from being a founding member of the Lancashire League in 1889, rising to the Top-Flight of the Football League (the old First Division) in 1930, to winning the FA Cup in 1953 and being promoted to the Premier League in 2010 (becoming the first Club to gain promotion from every division of the Football League via the play-off system).
The team are competing in League One, the third tier of the English Football League.
The Club have played their home games at Bloomfield Road since 1901.
About the role:
We are looking for confident and professional individuals to meet and greet our match day and hospitality customers. As ambassadors for the Club and the first point of contact for most of our hospitality guests, your customer service is vital making each match day a positive and memorable experience for visitors to the Club.
This is a casual position, offering variable hours including evenings and weekends on a flexible basis.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Greeting guests as they arrive in a cheerful, confident and professional manner.
- Distribute any hospitality wristbands and/or tickets to guests on arrival.
- Directing and escorting our guests their boxes, suites, and tables.
- Carry out pre-match checks, ensuring familiarity with the designated suite or area and that the facilities meet the required standards of a corporate hospitality function.
- Ensuring that match day programmes and team sheets are distributed to the appropriate areas on time.
- Be ready to anticipate and address guests’ requests and needs throughout the match day and inform the management team if there are any issues that need to be resolved.
- Escort guests to stadium seats.
- Collate match day competitions for guests / customers (data collection).
- After the event, highlight any issues and/or points raised by guests, and feedback to the relevant Club staff.
- Pass on any leads generated for future games from the Match Day to the Hospitality Team.
- Support colleagues in other corporate facilities when necessary.
- Carry out any other reasonable match day duties, as directed by the Hospitality Management Team or another senior staff member.

- To promote a professional image of the Club and themselves at all times.
- To contribute to identifying and undertaking initiatives aimed at improving the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery.
- To work with and support other team members as required ensuring effective and efficient service is developed and delivered.
- You will be expected to seek ways of updating and improving personal skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to your own job role.
Please note that you may be expected to remain in one position in this role throughout the match day or event for long periods of time.
