We now have an exciting opportunity for a Night Porter to join our amazing team.
This role is for a 32 hours per week, working 4 nights per week on a rota.
Purpose of Role:
To ensure all guests receive a warm, memorable and personal welcome to the hotel, setting the scene for their stay. To be responsible for the security of the hotel and it's guests over-night, ensure that guest's needs are anticipated and that any requests are actioned efficiently. Complete administrative tasks accurately and within given deadlines and ensure all public areas of the hotel are clean and tidy.
Responsibilities:
- Welcoming and checking in late arrivals.
- Handle, follow up and communicate any comments or complaints, pass onto the relevant Manager.
- Handle any reservation enquiries and be aware of current offers and rates.
- Understand and comply with hotel regulations.
- Answering pone calls and assissting guests and residents.
- Tour all areas of the hotel, internal and external on a regular basis and report irregularities.
- Perforing basic cleaning and housekeeping tasks.
- Perform any related security duties as required over night.
- Carry out fire and safety checks.
- Handle minor maintenance issues.
- Complete incident reports.
- Assist with night audit paperwork.
- Monitoring the building and responding to secruitey issues.
- Take room service orders, prepare and deliver to guests.
- Report all potential and real safety hazards immediately
- Be fully conversant with Fire and Emergency procedures.
- Responsible for setting up conference rooms to required specification.
Skills and Requirements:
- Good standard of written and spoken English.
- To be well groomed.
- Good level of fitness as role is quite physically demanding.
- Reliable, motivated, committed and have a positive attitude.
- Able to work nights including weekends from 22.45 to 07.15.
- Have the ability to work on own initiative and part of a team.
- Have excellent personal presentation, good verbal communication and listening skills.
- Have a passion for delivering exceptional customer service with a "can do " attitude.
- Experience of working in a 4* hotel would be advantageous.
- To be passionate about providing high level of customer service.
