Contracts Manager job description:
Contracts Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple contracts simultaneously and serving as the worksite representative for dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and building standard inspectors. The contracts manager will ensure compliance with all national and local procedures, regulations, and codes, and will provide progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis.
Responsibilities
· Manage contracts for mainly new-build construction, coordinating activities and ensuring that all work is in sync with project goals and objectives
· Provide direction to principal contractors, subcontractors, and vendors when doing joinery works to ensure that quality standards are being met
· Prepare and manage, timetables, and resources
· Manage and constant update on site workloads, monitor their performance.
· Identify, mitigate, and track recurring construction issues
· Adhere to legal regulations, building and safety codes, and other requirements
· Control the use on company property for the efficiency of the business.
· Collaborate with engineers, and other specialists; liaise with management for the hire full-time and part-time subcontractors and coordinate their schedules
· Visit sites regularly during construction — including preconstruction walks,
in-progress visits, site walks, and closeouts — and attend status and coordination meetings
· Conduct and document quality assurance and safety inspection standards throughout the construction process, ensuring that the work environment is acceptable, and that tools and equipment are in good working condition.
· Maintain and update construction documents, and meet contract obligations by developing relationships with reliable contractors and vendors
· Respond efficiently and effectively to work delays, emergencies, and other project disruptions.
· From time to time, you will be required to deal with important client relationships, meetings, phone calls and email out of the agreed working hours.
